Rahul Gandhi who has been mum over allegations of being benefited from the Scorpene deal through his Backops business partner took the opportunity to make 'Karma attack' at PM Narendra Modi for his comment against his father and the late former PM. He was responding to a comment made by PM Modi during a speech in UP where he said that "Rajiv Gandhi's life ended as corrupt no 1".

Following this, the BJP hit back at Rahul Gandhi and the Congress reminding them of the party's gaali politics and hypocrisy.
"PM Modi said a truth about Rajiv Gandhi and see how Congress is reacting now. Yesterday, PM Modi showed the truth of Gandhi family and immediately both brother and sister started abusing him.
"Since the past one year Rahul Gandhi has been calling PM Modi names - Chor, Hitler, Neech, Maut ka Saudagar, but you will accuse him as this your dynast arrogance and belief that power is your birthrght... Because PM Modi hails from a poor background, won with huge majority and is now high on popularity and you cannot tolerate such persons at the helm of affairs.
"Now they feel who is this challenger? That's why they always abuse PM Modi. Because dynasts are scared of truth.
"Is it not true that after 1984 riots, Rajeev Gandhi justified the genocide of Sikhs?", he said.
