Amid the high-end poll campaigning for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress' General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took out time to play with a snake while meeting with few snake charmers in the state.
She was in Raebareli on Thursday, campaigning for her mother and UPA chairperson for 2019 polls, wherein Priyanka Gandhi has a brief meeting with the snake charmers in the area. While listening to their ordeal, she also played with the snake.
The visuals show her seated on chair and listening to the snake charmers. Later she picks up a snake, plays with it for a brief time and then putting it back in the box carefully.
While someone asked her to be careful while holding the snake, she asserted that it will not do any harm to her.
"Kuch nhi karega. Darr kyu rahe ho (It will not do anything, why are you scared?)," she said, responding to the questions of her team.
Meanwhile, earlier on Thursday, the Congress General Secretary made an unprecedented U-turn on her Wednesday remarks wherein she had declared that the Congress would serve as a 'vote-cutter' against the BJP in those Uttar Pradesh seats where it wasn't fielding candidates to win.
When asked by reporters about Akhilesh Yadav's viewpoint on the 'vote-cutting', i.e. that no party would field weak candidates and the Congress was making excuses because the support of the people wasn't with them, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra put forth that all the Congress candidates were strong and contesting to make the BJP lose.
"The expectation is this only right - making the BJP lose? All our candidates are fighting strongly and it is the BJP which will suffer because of this," she said.
BSP supremo Mayawati also lashed out at the Congress party saying that the party had given tickets to contenders to help the BJP.
