After the constant jibe of 'Chaiwala' at PM Narendra Modi almost throughout his term, the Opposition doesn't seem to get enough of attacking the Prime Minister and has made an even deplorable comment again.

Twisting the intent of Chowkidar term - which was meant so that all citizens be vigil and fight corruption just as the PM has done from his position - the Opposition has hit out at PM Modi.

Samajwadi Party's Akhilesh Yadav who's ally Bahujan Samaj Party's chief Mayawati is aspiring to be the Prime Minister, on Thursday while speaking at a Holi event in Saifai in Uttar Pradesh said that PM Narendra Modi went from the job of the Chaiwala to Chowkidar.

"During elections and before elections, people ask who has worked how much for them. I want to tell you today, BJP has the power to distract voters. Yesterday, he (PM Modi) was the Chaiwala and today he quit the job of the Chaiwala and became the Chowkidar.

"We don't want to get tangled in this mess, we want to give the country a new PM," he said.

On Wednesday, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati dropped a massive hint over her intentions for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections - particularly over whether she has Prime Ministerial ambitions - just a short while after announcing that she won't contest the elections to India's lower house of Parliament which begin on April 11.

The answer to whether Mayawati has Prime Ministerial ambitions is in the affirmative if the former Uttar Pradesh CM's tweet is to be believed.

She has harkened back to 1995 when she first became UP CM, highlighting that she wasn't a member of the assembly then, and similarly, in case a situation arises where she has to hold an office, she would have six months to become a member of Parliament. Most importantly, she mentions the words "minister/PM".
