On Tuesday, BJP Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh were attacked allegedly by TMC workers. Taking to Twitter, Himanta Biswa Sarma has shared some pictures of his convoy which was allegedly blocked by goons on both sides of the roads at Khejuri village in West Bengal's Kanthi Lok Sabha constituency, while the West Bengal police were present at the spot.

He also added that many of the BJP workers are injured after the goons gheraoed their convoy and attacked them.

Union Minister and BJP leader Babul Supriyo spoke to Republic TV about the attack slamming the TMC for the attack. He also said that the tactics used by the party will not do them any good in the elections.

"Not only have I seen the same situation in every booth I went where election officers were beaten and presiding officers were forced to do proxy voting, even my car was vandalised.  I have recorded videos asking the West Bengal police why they are not stopping the TMC goons as it is not central police's job. Their work of trying to get sympathy will not work. Why are they doing this?  It does not bode well for them.

On Wednesday, a BJP delegation led by Jay Prakash Majumdar and Sisir Bajoria visited the Chief Election Officer, West Bengal (Election Commission of India) at BBD Bag on regarding the incident.
