In a shocking incident, BJP Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh were allegedly attacked by the TMC workers. Taking to Twitter, Himanta Biswa Sarma has shared some of his convoy which was blocked by TMC goons on both sides of the roads at Khejuri village in West Bengal's Kanthi Lok Sabha constituency, while the West Bengal police were present at the spot.

He also added that many of the BJP workers are injured after TMC goons gheraoed their convoy and attacked them.

"I am appalled at such brazen abuse of power by Mamata Banerjee (West Bengal CM and TMC chief)," the BJP leader wrote in his second Twitter post. 

In another tweet, Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that the CRPF personnel tried to help them in gradually moving away from the area. He added that three of the West Bengal BJP workers were taken by TMC goons in front of the Kultha Bazar police and over 20 motorbikes have been damaged in the attack.
