The second largest city and Urban agglomeration in West Bengal after Kolkata, the industrial belt of Asansol is slated to witness a star-powered fight in the upcoming Lok Sabha election scheduled to be held in the fourth phase on April 29. Republic TV spent a day with Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament Babul Supriyo.

Amid his busy schedule, inspecting and greeting the people in Asansol, we were witness to the fanfare and frenzy his constituents subject him to. Now, Union Minister of State for Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation has been fielded against actor with extraordinary oomph Moon Moon Sen. From Banker to a musician and then a politician, Babul Supriyo believes that immersing in any work is the greatest meditation.

Talking about his morning ritual, Mr Supriyo said:

"To me getting immerse in any work I am doing is the greatest mediation. I don't have a morning ritual. There is one speaker I play my music on and in the evening I talk to my daughter who is living in Mumbai. We usually talk about music and she has a habit of sending me a link of a song that she heard and liked."

Well, the fight between TMC and BJP is also a contest between eminent individuals at the constituency level. This holds true all the more for Asansol constituency, wherein Babul Supriyo (BJP) and Moon Moon Sen (TMC) are pitched against each other in a fierce competition. Both of them have been associated with Bollywood and the Bengali cinema. Speaking about how Trinamool have divided the society and organised violence in Bengal, the Union Minister told Republic TV:

"West Bengal has witnessed violence and it is organized violence. It is executed under Mamata Banerjee. All the hoardings that you see around is of Moon Moon Sen because Trinamool Congress municipality has beaten up and threatened the hoarding owners. They have all given it to Moon Moon Sen".

A unique politician and a force to reckon with, watch Babul Supriyo chat about topics that he's seldom opened up about, in the video above.
