PM Narendra Modi slammed Mamata Banerjee over aspiration of Prime Minister and also the Sharda and many other scams in which her party TMC's members are allegedly involved.
"Our Didi, who has fought a fistful of seats, is aspiring to be the Prime Minister. Had the post of Prime Minister been up for auction both Didi (Mamata Banerjee) and the Congress would have come up with the money looted by them to buy it. Didi! the PM post is not an auction that it could be bought from Sharda auction money. One gets it with the blessings of 30 crore people," he said
He also spoke about the TMC chief's defence of those who are involved in scams and said:
"When the CM of a state stands in favour of those who are involved scams, it is the people who suffer. Didi (Mamata Banerjee) abuse of Modi and getting angry with the Election Commission is a reflection of her frustration in the face of imminent defeat," he said.
He also attacked the West Bengal CM for allowing Bangladeshi actors to campaign for her party.
"First, she (Banerjee) made infiltrators her cadres ... Now she is bringing people from foreign countries to campaign for her. I really pity her," he said.
Mocking Banerjee's 'Bengal model of development' as "tolabaji (extortion) model", Modi said "Mamata didi wants to implement her tolabaji tax model of development across the country. But we will never allow that to happen".
Banerjee abusing him and getting angry with the Election Commission is a reflection of her frustration in the face of imminent defeat in the Lok Sabha polls, he added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also travelled to Balasore in Odisha on Tuesday where he slammed the Congress for failing to demonstrate India's defence capability in space. He claimed that the previous governments were only concerned about the interest of a 'Namdar' family, not the country's security.
Addressing an election rally, Modi said history was created in Balasore when Mission Shakti (anti-satellite missile test) was launched from Odisha's Balasore.
