In an unprecedented incident, the BJP has alleged that the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee raged at some people who hurled chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ at her convoy while it was on the way to Chandrakona in West Bengal's Midnapore district.

BJP West Bengal shared the video of the incident which shows people raising 'Jai Shri Ram' chants at Mamata Banerjee's convoy. Later, the cars stop and the TMC chief steps out of the car and can be seen angrily shouting at the people who were hurling the chants. As soon as the convoy stops, the people raising slogans fled the stop, with Mamata Banerjee asking them to not run away and instead face her.

"Why are you running away? Come here. Look some people are abusing me," she said in the video.

As Mamata Banerjee's reaction has sparked a war of words between the BJP and TMC, sharing the video on Twitter, the saffron party asked the West Bengal CM that why did she get angry on hearing ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chants and why called it 'abusive'.

Responding to BJP's tweet, the Trinamool Congress took to Twitter and called the saffron party "desperate". It added that it is a shame on their desperation to put spin on a video and create falsehood.

"Bengal has rejected them and they know that. They’ll have no place to hide on May 23,” TMC's tweet further read.
