Haryana Assembly Elections Updates 2024
Jhajjar Assembly Seat: In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Congress candidate Geeta Bhukkal won from Jhajjar.
Candidates: This year, the contest is again heating up with a diverse set of candidates. Contesting in the 2024 elections are Kaptan Birdhana ( BJP ), Geeta Bhukkal (INC), Mahinder Dahiya (AAP), Dharambir Singh (BSP), Naseeb Sonu (JJP), Jaideep (RPI(A)), and independents Rajal, Narender Singh Fauji, Sanjay, Satbir Chumbak Advocate, and Sunil Kumar.
The counting of votes for Jhajjar began at 8 am, and initial results will start rolling in soon. The INC held this seat in the previous election.
Mahendragarh Assembly Seat: The Mahendragarh constituency is part of the Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha segment and is classified as an urban area. In the 2024 elections, voting took place on October 5, and the results will be announced on October 8. Mahendragarh is a general constituency, and the BJP led here during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Dharambir Singh of BJP had won the Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha seat, defeating Congress ’s Rao Dan Singh.
Candidates: This year, 13 candidates are contesting the Mahendragarh assembly seat, including Balwan Fauji (IND), Dr. Bhup Singh Yadav (IND), Dr. Manish Yadav (AAP), Kanwar Singh ( BJP ), and others.
Narnaul Assembly Seat: Narnaul is also part of the Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP led in this assembly segment, with Dharambir Singh defeating Congress candidate Shruti Choudhry.
Candidates: This year, a total of 11 candidates are contesting the Narnaul Assembly seat, including Om Prakash Yadav ( BJP ), Rao Narender Singh (INC), Ravinder Singh Matru (AAP), and several independent candidates. Voting took place on October 5, with results expected on October 8.
Beri Assembly Seat: Congress ’s Dr. Raghuvir Singh Kadian won the Beri seat in the 2019 elections.
Candidates: In 2024, the candidates in the fray include Sanjay Kumar ( BJP ), Raghuvir Singh Kadian (INC), Sonu (AAP), Sunil (JJP), and Permod (INLD), along with independents Amit Kumar, Inderjeet Suhag, and Gowardhan Singh. The polling for the Beri seat took place on October 5, and counting is currently underway.
