Karnal, Gharaunda, Assandh, Panipat Rural, Panipat City Elections Result 2024 LIVE: Counting of votes for the Kalayat, Kaithal, Pundri, Nilokheri (SC), Indri began on Tuesady 8AM. These five constituencies saw a tough battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) and the Congress . The state saw a battle with 1,031 candidates, including 101 women, contesting the elections. A total of 20,629 polling booths were set up across the state. After the intense campaign concluded, the Bhartiya Janata Party aimed for a third consecutive term, meanwhile the Congress would be hoping for a comeback after a decade. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Dushyant Chautala and Olympic sensation Vinesh Phogat were among the key contenders from their respective constituencies.

• BJP's Jagmohan Anand is leading in Karnal Constituency with margin of 13,082 votes.
• The counting of votes for Karnal, Gharaunda, Assandh, Panipat City and Panipat Rural in the Haryana Assembly Elections has begun.
• In Panipat City, BJP 's Pramod Kumar Vij is leading, while Indian National Congress ' Varinder Kumar Shah is trailing.
• In Panipat Rural, BJP 's Mahipal Dhanda is leading after six rounds of counting, with independent candidate Vijay Jian trailing behind him.
