Responding to questions about the BJP's growing influence, especially in the Hindi belt, Banerjee emphasized the need for collaboration to counter the BJP's perceived strength, stating, “The BJP is not strong, we are weak. We need to work together to overcome it.”

Addressing the recent suspension of opposition MPs in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Banerjee asserted that it reflects the BJP's fear.

BJP’s actions mockery of democracy: Mamata

She criticized the BJP's actions as a "mockery of democracy," highlighting the suppression of the people's voice.

Expressing full support for expelled party MP Mahua Moitra, Banerjee mentioned that the parliamentary party will decide on her Krishnanagar seat.

In a light-hearted remark, she downplayed the BJP's assertion about PM Modi's potential return for a third term, stating that 2024 is not a foregone conclusion.
