Bollywood star Akshay Kumar unveiled a new poster of his upcoming film '2.0' ahead of the release of the film. The actor on Thursday, November 15, took to Instagram and shared the latest poster. He captioned the post saying, "Get ready for the Biggest 3D Spectacle... #2Point0 this 29th November!‬@2Point0Movie  @DharmaMovies @lyca_productions  #2Point0FromNov29 ‬"

The upcoming science fiction film is written and directed by S. Shankar, while B. Jeyamohan, joined him as a co-writer. It is produced by A. Subaskaran and reportedly is the most expensive Indian film made to date with a budget of Rs. 543 crores. It is a spiritual successor to the 2010 Tamil film 'Enthiran', and features Rajinikanth in the lead role who reprises his roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. 

'2.0' focuses on Akshay Kumar's character as the antagonist who looks like a super-villain with the ability to control cell phones and birds. Recently, the trailer of the film was released by the makers, the duration of which was around one-and-a-half minutes. It showcased several stunning action sequences which have been heightened through special effects. '2.0' will mark Rajinikanth's second release in 2018, after his most recent release 'Kaala' which succeeded in impressing the audiences.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is also prepping for his upcoming venture, 'Housefull 4' along with Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde. The film has been facing a lot of controversy as the former director of the film- Sajid Khan and actor Nana Patekar were accused of sexual misconduct by several women. The comedy film will be directed by Farhad Samji, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film is the fourth instalment of the 'Housefull' franchise and is scheduled to hit the theatres on October 25, 2019.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar was also dragged into a controversy as a report claimed that he was connected with the Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. However, later Akshay gave a clarification on the same denying all such allegations and several icons of Punjabi descent have come in support of the actor.
