'2.0', Shankar's magnum opus and one of the biggest releases of 2018 is just days away from its big unveiling. Now, as the movie is about to drop in theaters, the makers of the film hosted a small press conference in Mumbai. At the event, some interesting revelations came to light.

Akshay Kumar, who plays an antagonist in the film, had a lot to say about his co-star Rajinikanth. He recalled that when he first met him on set, the Superstar said something remarkable to him. He said that this is his film, to which Akshay responded that it is yours as well. The Gold actor then commented on Rajinikanth's humility and said that he was always like this with everyone.

Speaking further about his experience of working with Thalaivar, Khiladi Kumar said that to get to fight him on screen and to get punched by him was an honour. Akshay also dropped a hint about the film and said that at this point, the only thing he can say is that '2.0' is a social film. By this, he is probably referring to the excessive use of mobile phones that have taken over the modern society. Other than the actor, the event was attended by the director of the film Shankar and was organised by Karan Johar, who was hosting the whole event.

KJo is, of course, no stranger when it comes to promoting to South Indian films. He had extensively backed 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' before it came out and had even claimed that Bollywood can never pull off a film like that unless it really pulls up its socks. Although, he said that he can't take any credit for distributing since the tale and the grandeur itself is so compelling that it is a no-brainer to back a humongous project like this.

Shankar, meanwhile remains tightlipped about his film, although he had plenty of praise for his stars Akshay and Rajinikanth. Also starring Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain, Sudhanshu Pandey in key roles, '2.0' is all set to release on November 29.
