While the celebrities did not leave any stone unturned to make the night an extravagant affair, here are five highlights that KKHH fans must know from the event:

Janhvi Kapoor-Ishaan Khatter recreate the 'Rahul-Anjali' moment

Donning an eye-catchy green number, Janhvi looked every bit of a star with Ishaan Khatter by her side decked up in a checked-print suit. Janhvi, who took to the stage first amidst the celebrities, shared that they can't start the evening without doing the iconic gesture from the books of Rahul and Anjali.

"Every film that I have seen as a millenial Indian cinema lover, I could trace things back to this film and its a film that completely warrants a celebration today," she shared.

Rani Mukerji spills the beans on Aryan Khan's birth

Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji's friendship goes way back in time ever since they began shooting for this film. The duo, who share great rapport on and off screen, came together once again to cast their spell. Speaking about filming KKHH, Rani reminisced that Shah Rukh Khan's eldest child Aryan was born post the shoot of the popular track 'Koi Mil Gaya'.

"I remember going down and playing with Aryan in my arms and I think Shah Rukh I have played with both your kids even AbRam now," said Rani. Kajol, who was also seen in attendance later quipped, "Shah Rukh, you produce very good looking children, I must say."

Shah Rukh Khan feels "creepy" to show KKHH to his kids

Speaking to the audience, Shah Rukh shared that AbRam hasn't seen this film yet and that this is the first time he has accompanied him for an event and his first introduction to the world of cinema is 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'.

"Now I find it quite creepy, you know, especially the scene where I am hugging a girl and holding her lustfully and very cheaply looking at a girl whose sari pallu flies in the air. It seemed really wrong," he said. Both Karan and Shah Rukh later joked about the fact how scenes from the film now stand very wrong.

Roohi-Yash turn daddy Karan Johar's muse as Rahul-Anjali

Karan, who directed the much-loved cult film, gave his family a KKHH remake with his kids Yash and Roohi donning Rahul and Anjali's outfits. He thanked the audience for gracing the event and shared that it is indeed an emotional moment for the family as the film completes 20 years.

Sharing pictures of both Yash and Roohi, Karan shared, "Bhai, this is for you. This is him playing Rahul from KKHH and not far behind is my daughter donning Anjali's look. It's their sleep time so they couldn't be here."

Salman Khan's desire to work with Karan Johar Again

Although Salman couldn't be there for the celebrations, he managed to fill in the void by sharing an anecdote while shooting for his show Bigg Boss. Talking about the time Karan Johar offered him the film, he said, "It was Karan Johar's first film and he spoke to my sister about this saying that Kajol and Shah Rukh are in the lead cast and there's this small role for which he is not getting an actor to sign. I then met him at a party, loved the script and Karan's writing so I did it for my sister, Yash uncle and Hiroo aunty, for Karan Johar and Shah Rukh."
