Bollywood actor Aamir Khan turned 54-years-old on Thursday, March 14. While having an interactive session with media on Thursday, to celebrate the occasion, the actor responded to actress Kangana Ranaut accusation that Aamir did not support her recent release 'Manikarnika'.
Kangana Ranaut has added another feather in her cap with 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'. Not only was she the film's leading lady, but she also directed a good part of the film, making it a really big feat in her career. Although the film has been critically acclaimed and also commercially successful at the box office, the actress revealed that she is unhappy about the industry’s lack of support towards it and even alleged that some 'serious planning' is done and people are ganging up against her to overthrow her movie.
She not only directly attacked actors like Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor but also reportedly expressed her displeasure over Aamir Khan not attending the trials of her films. She reportedly claimed that she had attended the screening of Aamir's films 'Dangal' and 'Secret Superstar', but the actor did not return the favor when it came to her movies.
When asked to comment on Kangna's allegations, the 'Thugs of Hindostan' actor in his signature calm demeanor said, "Oh she was upset with me? Why? She didn't say anything to me. I will ask her when I meet her"
Meanwhile, Aamir on the occasion of his birthday announced his next film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' which is an official adaptation of 1994Oscar-winning film 'Forrest Gump', starring Tom Hanks. The film will be directed by Advait Chandan, who earlier directed 'Secret Superstar'. Aamir said, 'We have bought the rights from Paramount and the film will be produced by Viacom and Aamir Khan Productions'.
Like every year, the actor stated his birthday cutting a cake with wife Kiran Rao and media at his residence in Mumbai's Bandra.
