Talking about his latest this collection, Gaurang said, "I was always fascinated with yesteryear actresses like Meena Kumari, Madhubala and the way they dressed the beautiful handwoven sarees and the handwoven blouses. So this is a tribute to them and the whole collection consisting of 30 sarees is about those. I have worked with the weavers of Banaras and recreated the designs of the 50s and 60s. I have developed this old forgotten fabric called chiffon. Chiffon was made earlier by machines but  I have got this made in handloom now. We have plain chiffons as well as the woven ones."

At the Lakme Fashion Week, Gaurang will pay a tribute to the legends of Indian cinema including yesteryear actress of 50's and 60's that rooted for Indian textiles throughout their life on-screen and off-screen. An extension of their style and personality, the collection will see the return of the retro-glam with a revival of the south-Indian silks and textiles. Kanjeevarams in rich hues which were her trademark will be juxtaposed with other textiles from her journey. The collection is the perfect revival of forgotten textiles and a legendary superstar.

Being a part of the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2018, Gaurang spoke about how his collaboration with Lakme has helped him grown as a designer. Gaurang said, "Lakme fashion week has made me what I am today, I have been working with the weavers for past 20 years but the Lakme Fashion Week has made me a designer."
