Ad Mogul Alyque Padamsee Passes Away, Celebrities Express Their Grief

Ad mogul and actor Alyque Padamsee breathed his last on November 17. He was 90 years old at the time of his passing. On this tragic day, many influential figures from all across the country expressed their anguish over his demise. Those sharing in their sorrows include Bollywood celebs and members of the film fraternity.

Celebs like Boman Irani, Arshad Warsi, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, Atul Kasbekar, Ashwin Mushan, Soham Shah and many others took to social media to express their sadness and give condolence on the legend's passing. Boman said, "Saddened to hear of the passing of Ad Guru and Theatre doyen #AlyquePadamsee. He gave me my first break in Theatre, like countless before and after me. Maverick, Unique, Uncompromising. There will never be another....#RIP Alyque.". Arshad remembered him for his honesty, intelligence and talent as he wrote, "Very sad to hear about #AlyquePadamsee I had the privilege of choreographing one of his plays. Admired him for his honesty, talent & intelligence. You will always be loved & missed, RIP Alyque". 

Suchitra Krishnamoorti vented out her blues as she said, "Deeply saddened to hear of the demise of #AlyquePadamsee Prayers for the departed soul and strength to the family". Ashwin Mushran, who is a famous face in the ad world, reminisced his role from the iconic film Gandhi as he wrote, "Just heard that #AlyquePadamsee passed away. Such an important part of this city's cutural history...From the advertising world to theater. Still remember his 'Jinnah' in the film Gandhi! Superbly played."

Producer Atul Kasbekar recounted how Alyque gave him a break in photography as he wrote, "Saddened to hear of the passing of advertising doyen #AlyquePadamsee When he was head of Lintas he’d given me some of my early breaks in advertising photography Ever grateful for the break and opportunity. RIP Sir." Actress Nimrat Kaur called him a true pioneer, "Deepest condolences and prayers for the family and loved ones of #AlyquePadamsee sir...a true pioneer. May he rest in peace." 

Other than these famous figures, the President of the nation Ramnath Kovind himself and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed their anguish on social media.
