Aditya is the youngest child of Kumud Roy Kapur, who is a Punjabi Hindu, and mother Salome Aaron, an Indian Jew. He is also the grandson of film producer Raghupat Roy Kapur. The Kalank actor has two elder brothers. His eldest brother Siddharth Roy Kapur, who owns a production company named Roy Kapur Films, is married to renowned Bollywood actor Vidya Balan. Whereas, his other elder brother Kunaal Roy Kapur is a director-turned-actor. Kunaal has worked in several Bollywood projects and he also made his digital debut with an original web-series of Eros titled, Side Hero

On the work front, the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actor is currently busy shooting for his upcoming films lined up to release in 2020, including Malang. The film will be directed by Mohit Suri, and it will also mark the second collaboration of the actor-director duo after Aashiqui 2. Apart from Aditya, other actors like Anil Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Kunal Khemu will play the lead in the romantic drama.

Reportedly apart from Malang, the Fitoor actor will also share the screen space with Alia Bhatt. The film will be a sequel to Mahesh Bhatt's 1991 directorial, Sadak. The Ok Jaanu actor was last seen in romance-drama Kalank, which was a debacle at the box-office.
