After a website fat shames Neha Dhupia post-pregnancy, the actress responds with a winning, strongly worded message, take a look

Neha Dhupia who got married a few months back to actor Angad Bedi has already ushered in her bundle of joy into the world. The proud parents welcomed their baby girl Mehr not long ago. Understandably, the actress had put on some weight post pregnancy and when a blog tried to shame her for it, she had her response ready.

Taking to Twitter, the actress shared the screenshot of the article that called her weight gain as "shocking". Along with the screenshot, Neha also added her response in which she said that she is not at all bothered by fat shaming. However, she added that she wanted to address as this problematic trend needs to stop not just for celebs but for everyone in general. 

Neha also made it clear that for her, being fit is what keeps her healthy to take care of her child, since for her its a priority and not to fit in with society's standard of beauty. She also slammed the article as she called such comments as 'vapid' and 'vile'.

Here's what she said exactly, "I don't owe anyone an explanation because fatshaming like this doesn't bother me one bit. But I do want to address this as a larger problem because fatshaming needs to stop for EVERYONE, not just celebs."

She continued, "As a new mom, I want to be fit, healthy and energetic for my daughter. So I workout every day, sometimes twice a day because for me 'Fitness' is a priority and not 'fitting into' society's standards regarding looks. And I hope in the future people are kinder to each other while making such vapid and vile comments."

After her tweet where she hit out at the blog, actress Sonam Kapoor came in her support as she tweeted, "You are beautiful no matter what anyone says"
