The trailer of Ranveer Singh's much-anticipated film 'Simmba' released on Monday, December 3. The actor was present at the trailer launch along with the director Rohit Shetty and co-stars Sonu Sood and Sara Ali Khan in Mumbai. Ranveer, who recently tied the knot with longtime girlfriend actress Deepika Padukone, opened up about his wedding with actress Deepika Padukone while having a conversation with the media.
As per media reports, the actor said that he has new goals to achieve post-wedding. Entitling himself as the 'best boyfriend', Ranveer reportedly said that he now wants to be the 'best husband of the millennium'.
Ranveer and Deepika finally tied the knot is a grand wedding ceremony in Lake Como, Italy on November 14 and 15. The pair's epic romance has been a talk of the town ever since the duo paired up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela'. They have starred together in several films following the same and both their on and off-screen chemistry is widely lauded by the audience.
Previously, the 'Bajirao Mastani' star had opened up about her relationship with Deepika, immediately after tying the knot where the actor reportedly revealed that he knew he would marry Deepika just after 6 months of their relationship. He also said that he was mentally prepared for the wedding for quite a while now and was just waiting for Deepika's approval.
Coming back to 'Simmba', Ranveer has been true to the promotional duties of the film even amidst the wedding festivities. The actor who is known to be very close to director Rohit Shetty shared a heartwarming video on Instagram from the shoot wrap up of the film on November 22. In the video, he can be seen admiring his director while reminiscing his journey through the making of the film.
'Simmba' is a remake of 2015 Telugu film 'Temper'. It narrates the story of a corrupted cop Simmba who belong to the same town where DCP Bajirao Singham, the character of Rohit Shetty's previous film franchise 'Singham', was born. Simmba enjoys being a corrupt cop and takes full advantage of its lifestyle until one day his loved ones are abused. He eventually finds himself transforming and is forced to choose a more righteous path. The film is produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions and is all set to hit the theatres on December 28, 2018.
