The ‘Hrithik Roshan vs Kangana Ranaut battle’ made headlines once again after the makers of ‘Mental Hai Kya’ decided to release their film on ‘Super 30’s date. There were some intense statements from both the parties concerned as the makers of the latter announced it was a strategic decision, and the former announced a change in his release date. Now, it has been revealed that ‘Super 30’ will hit the screens on July 12, two weeks prior to its earlier scheduled date.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce that ‘Super 30’ will now release on July 12, two weeks before ‘Mental Hai Kya’.
What’s interesting, however, is that the movie will now clash with Sidharth Malhotra-Parineeti Chopra-starrer ‘Jabariya Jodi’. Also, both ‘Mental Hai Kya’ and ‘Jabariya Jodi’ are Ekta Kapoor productions.
Earlier, the producer, too, had got dragged into the controversy over ‘Super 30’ vs ‘Mental Hai Kya’ clash and had announced that their decision to choose the release date was purely for business reasons.
Later, when Hrithik announced that he was shifting the release date of his movie to save himself from ‘personal trauma and toxic mental violence’, Kangana had taken a dig at his ‘sob story’ since she claimed he, along with Ekta and Madhu Mantena had made a joint decision regarding the same.
It remains to be seen if Ekta would change ‘Jabariya Jodi’ release date as a return favour.
