Katrina Kaif who has become one of the most famous names in Bollywood is now well known for her gracious dancing. Now, after Karan Johar expressed his distaste towards such songs in films, Kat has broken her silence on the matter.

Coming to the defence of such numbers which she has performed, she said that she did not feel the same way as Karan. She added that it depended on the person who performed the song and that artists like Madonna and Beyonce did not feel objectified when they perform, so why should she. Taking the particular instance of the 'Chikni Chameli' song from Hrithik Roshan starrer 'Agneepath', she clarified that she never felt uncomfortable while shooting for it. Ultimately, Katrina feels that it is all about a woman celebrating herself and that it all depends on the context that is being looked at.
Karan had previously commented that he regretted featuring such provocative songs in his films and will ensure that he won't repeat such mistakes in the future. According to him, such numbers never do anything to further the plot of the film and that is used merely to attract the male audience, which is clearly a sign of objectification. Well, the actress' take on the issue is certainly unexpected and quite interesting.
Other than speaking her mind on the matter, the actress is also promoting her upcoming film 'Zero', where is playing the role of a superstar celebrity. She even has her own dance number in the flick titled as 'Husn Parcham'. The diva had also posted a short video of herself rehearsing for the song that also explained how her journey began in the world of dance.
