After 'Pink', Boney Kapoor To Remake Ayushmann Khurrana's 'Badhaai Ho' in Four South Indian Languages

After Tamil remake of 2016 courtroom drama ‘Pink’, filmmaker Boney Kapoor is now all set to recreate 2018 comedy venture 'Badhaai Ho' in South Indian languages.

After Tamil remake of 2016 courtroom drama ‘Pink’, filmmaker Boney Kapoor is now all set to recreate 2018 comedy venture 'Badhaai Ho' in South Indian languages. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and announced the news. In the post, he stated that the producer has acquired the remake rights of the film and the cast of the South Indian venture will be announced soon. 

"#Update: #BadhaaiHo in South Indian languages... Boney Kapoor acquires *remake rights* of #BadhaaiHo for South Indian languages... Cast of South Indian films will be announced soon." he wrote in the post.

As per media reports, during a recent interview, Boney Kapoor opened up about the project and stated that he is keen to recreate the entertaining family drama in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. He reportedly said that he is confident that the film which has done extremely well at the box office will also be well received by the audience in the South. Either the Tamil version or the Telugu version will go on the floors soon.  

'Bhadhai Ho' starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Gajraj Rao, and Neena Gupta in the lead emerged as a box office winner. The makers describe the movie as a coming-of-age family entertainer that celebrates love, family and everything in between. The film revolves around the pregnancy of Priyamvada, essayed by Neena, who is in her later 40s or early 50s, and the news sees the entire family having a nervous breakdown with the news. The comedy-drama is originally directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and is jointly produced by Vineet Jain, Hemant Bhandari and Aleya Sen under the banner of Junglee Pictures and Chrome Pictures.

Details of the South Indian versions of the film, including the actors and the directors are yet to be announced.
