Reports of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan being a part of ‘2.0’ starring Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth have been doing the rounds for the past few months. The director Shankar revealed that she is a part of the script of the sequel but there’d be no ‘visual presence’ of the actress.

Apart from the dual avatars of Rajinikanth in ‘Robot’/‘Enthiran’, even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s star presence had also elevated the buzz on the movie and the success later on. Reports of the former Miss World being a part of the sequel, ‘2.0’, have been doing the rounds for the past few months.

And now the director, Shankar, when asked about the actress, in an interview with an entertainment website, has confirmed that his former lead is indeed a part of the movie. However, there’s a catch.

The filmmaker revealed that she is a part of the script of the sequel with numerous references to her character Sana, but unfortunately for Aishwarya fans, he added that there’d be no ‘visual presence’ of the ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ star in the science-fiction action drama.

Aishwarya had played the role of Dr. Vaseegaran’s girlfriend in ‘Robot.’ The robot Chitti falling in love with her was one of the most important plot points. With Dr. Vaseegaran being a part of the sequel, it’d be interesting to see how her character makes an exit from his life.

It is Amy Jackson who is the lead actress this time. And she also is a robot like Chitti and their chemistry is expected to provide the comic and romantic moments in the intense action film.
