The same can be said for actor Ajay Devgn. It is a known fact that the actor was very close to his late father, Veeru Devgan. Ajay lost his father on May 27, 2019 - earlier this year. Ajay Devgn had recently taken to his social media to share a beautiful throwback picture with his father. The actor also shared a heartfelt caption with the picture.

Ajay Devgn shared a beautiful throwback picture with father Veeru Devgn on his social media

Ajay Devgn shared the picture on the occasion of Teacher's Day. The picture had Ajay Devgn as a kid, striking a pose with his father. The actor also had a beautiful caption with the lovely black and white picture. Ajay called his father his teacher and credited him for giving him invaluable life lessons. Veeru Devgan was one of the most notable action and stunt directors in the film industry. He had introduced his son Ajay Devgn to Bollywood with the film, Phool Aur Kante. Veeru Devgan also directed the 1999 film, Hindustan Ki Kasam.

Director Rohit Shetty had penned down a heartfelt message after the demise of Veeru Devgn

Veeru Devgan has contributed to around 80 Bollywood films, some of them being, Khoon Bhari Maang and Shahenshah. Veeru is now survived by his wife Veena Devgn and children Ajay, Anil, Neelam and Kavita Devgn. Ajay Devgn's close friend, director Rohit Shetty had also penned down a heartfelt note about Veeru Devgan. In the note, Shetty had mentioned that it takes real heroes to transform their boys into heroes. He further wrote that how Veeru Devgan would be proud of Ajay Devgn from heaven.

Rohit Shetty also shared two important lessons he had learnt from Veeru Devgn. One of them was, to be honest with your work and your work will be honest with you. The other lesson was that before performing any stunt, the most important thing is, ‘safety first.' Ajay Devgn will now be seen in the much-awaited film, Tanhanji: The Unsung Warrior where he will be seen opposite wife Kajol and Saif Ali Khan.
