After a grand success in 'Total Dhammal', Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is now roped for an upcoming patriotic film titled 'Bhuj The Pride Of India' where he will essay the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was in charge of Bhuj airport during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

After a grand success in 'Total Dhammal', Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is now roped for an upcoming patriotic film titled 'Bhuj The Pride Of India' where he will essay the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was in charge of Bhuj airport during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The film that celebrates India's win over Pakistan narrates how Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik along with a team of 300 women reconstructed a wrecked Indian Air Force airstrip, during the war. 

The actor on Tuesday, March 19, took to Twitter and confirmed the news. He shared a throwback monochrome of the Indian Air Force officer and hailed him and his team for their achievements. In the post, he wrote, "1971. Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik & team. 300 Brave Women. Reconstruction of a wrecked Indian Air Force airstrip. 'Bhuj- The Pride Of India'"

As per media reports, the patriotic film will be directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya and will be jointly produced by Ginny Khanuja, Vajir Singh, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Abhishek Dudhaiya. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the same in a Twitter post and wrote, "Ajay Devgn in #BhujThePrideOfIndia... Will essay the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, in charge of Bhuj airport during the 1971 Indo-Pak war... Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya... Produced by Ginny Khanuja, Vajir Singh, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Abhishek Dudhaiya."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ajay mesmerized the audience by with his performance in comedy venture 'Total Dhammal'. The film which also starred Madhuri Dixit, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Anil Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh , Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever was a huge success at the Box office.

He will be next featured in epic drama 'Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior' where he will take up the titular role as an unsung Maratha warrior, Tanaji Malusare. The film which is helmed by director Om Raut is all set to hit the big screen on November 22, 2019.
