Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Saturday, October 6, filed a written complaint with the Mumbai cyber police against a person and a YouTube channel, alleging that a false video has been put up by the same that featured the 'Boss' actor giving a statement on the ongoing controversy involving Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar. The actor accused the YouTuber saying that the video has been edited in such a way that it appears as though the actor has expressed his views on Tanushree Dutta's allegations against Nana Patekar.
In the complaint, the actor reportedly told the police that during the media interaction at an event, someone asked him about a well-known actress from Bollywood, to which he answered, but in the edited video that has been doing the rounds on social media, the name of the original actress was replaced with Tanushree Dutta's. As per media reports, the clip was removed from the YouTube channel soon after the complaint was lodged. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
Shedding light on the incident that happened 10 years ago on the sets of the film, 'Horn OK Pleassss', Tanushree Dutta accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of misconduct on the sets of the film. The actress, who was last seen on the big screens in 2010, accused the 'Welcome' star of misbehaving with her during the shooting of a special song for the film. The news created a huge stir in the industry and several Bollywood stars spoke up in favour of the actress. Celebrities like Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Simi Garewal, Lisa Ray, and Parineeti Chopra among others extended their support to the 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' actress. In fact, Akshay's wife Twinkle Khanna also spoke in favour of Tanushree.
However, the 'Pad Man' star who is all set to share screen space with Nana Patekar in the upcoming movie 'Housefull 4', chose to maintain his silence on the same. The two were recently spotted in Jaisalmer as they were filming for the upcoming venture.
Meanwhile, the ongoing controversy took a legal turn after Nana sent a legal notice to Tanushree Dutta denying all allegations. On the other hand, the actress filed a police complaint on October 6 at Oshiwara, registered an FIR under section 354, 354(A), section 34 and section 509 of IPC (Indian Penal Code) against Nana Patekar, Ganesh Acharya, Samee Siddiqui, Rakesh Sarang and MNS party workers.
