Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Taapsee Pannu starrer 'Mission Mangal' is all set to release on the big screen this Independence Day. With anticipation at its peak, the team is promoting the film at excruciating lengths, and at one such event, a hilarious incident took place involving a reporter's mobile phone. In a video shared online, Kriti Kulhari can be seen talking about her experience of working in the film, however, one she begins talking, a reporter's phone starts ringing. Interestingly, instead of ignoring it Akshay Kumar picks it up and says, “Krishna Ji, hum log ek press conference mein hai. Main Akshay Kumar bol Raha hun.”
The video has left netizens in splits and Akshay Kumar is not the only actor who picked up a reporter's phone mid press conference. Reports suggest that during 'Phillauri' promotions, Anushka Sharma too had done something similar of sorts.
'Mission Mangal' helmed by Jagan Shakti is all set to hit the theaters on this Independence Day, August 15. For the unaware, the film is based on the real-life story of the Indian Space Research Organisation's Mars Orbiter Mission which is India's first successful interplanetary mission. It features Akshay as an ISRO scientist who is working on the project with Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Sharman Joshi, and others. The trailer of the film was widely appreciated by the audience. The trailer looks like an absolute package with its zeal of patriotism, nail-biting excitement, and an adequate amount of humor. With the Mars mission, the film showcases how the characters in the film, who handle responsibilities in the space station as well at home and in their personal lives, set out on a journey from being ordinary to extraordinary.
