Akshay Kumar: The Khiladi Kumar's life before Bollywood

The Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar is quite a versatile actor. Akshay has been applauded for his acting and action- packed stunts in movies that he has starred in over the years. Apart from being an amazing actor, Akshay Kumar is also a fitness enthusiast. His social media is full of his workout prep videos and posts. The Housefull actor made his debut in 1991 with the movie - Saugandh.  He is also a successful producer. Besides, being an actor, an action hero and a comedian, the actor has several other talents and crafts. Akshay Kumar's life before Bollywood: 

Before becoming an actor, Akshay Kumar was a martial arts professional. Since Akshay’s early age, he was always a sports enthusiast. He started learning and playing boxing at a very early age of his life. He started learning karate when he was in school. For those who don't know, the Khiladi is an army brat. No wonder all this enthusiasm towards stunts and fights fantasizes him.

Akshay enrolled in college to complete his higher education but dropped out, due to his lack of interest. Later he flew to Thailand, Bangkok to learn martial arts. He lived there for five years learning Thai Boxing. The Rustom actor had obtained a black belt in Taekwondo while in India. Akshay Kumar also worked as a chef while he was in Bangkok. After Thailand, Kumar went to work in Kolkata in a travel agency, in Dhaka in a hotel and Delhi where he sold Kundan jewellery. Upon his return to Mumbai, he commenced the teaching of martial arts. With all these achievements, Akshay still had a dream to become an actor.

Later during his martial arts teaching days, one of his students suggested him to take up modelling. Taking his suggestion seriously, Akshay started his modelling career. Post, Akshay’s name becoming known in the modelling industry, he changed his name to Akshay Kumar from Rajeev Om Bhatia. Kumar has also worked as a junior artist in several movies until his big break in 1991. Currently, Akshay is busy promoting his upcoming movie, Housefull 4.
