Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan go pandal hopping, make Navami special

Bollywood celebrities in the likes of Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Rani Mukerji basked in the festive glory and were spotted attending the North Mumbai Durga Puja that was being organized by filmmaker Ayan Mukerji's father. In the series of pictures that have surfaced on the internet, the b-town socialites were seen having a swell time. While Alia looked lovely in a red saree, Hrithik was seen wearing casuals. Rani Mukerjee, on the other hand, made a style statement by wearing a bright pink saree. Take a look at the pictures below-

On the professional front, Alia Bhatt has a plethora of projects lined up alongside her. She will next be seen in 'Brahmastra' alongside Ranbir Kapoor. She also has 'Sadak 2' and 'Takht' in the pipeline. Hrithik Roshan, on the other hand, is basking the success of his film, 'War' that is doing amazingly well at the ticketing counters.

Meanwhile, Rani Mukerji will be seen in 'Mardaani 2' where she will be donning the cop hat yet again. 

About the festival: 

The ninth day of Navaratri or Durga Puja is celebrated as Durga Navami. It is a Hindu festival that is celebrated to mark the victory of good over evil. People offer prayers at temples of Goddess Durga, prepare feasts and fly kites during the festival. Devotees also listen to traditional music and religious songs.

During the occasion, devotees offer prayers to Goddess Durga and listen to traditional music and religious song. Dashain, also known as Vijay Dashami, is a major Hindu festival celebrated to mark the victory of good over evil. The festival is celebrated to remember Lord Ram's victory over Ravana, marking the triumph of good over evil. The day also marks the culmination of Navratri and Durga Puja. People offer prayers at temples of Goddess Durga, prepare feasts and fly kites during the festival.
