'All the world is a stage and most of us are desperately unrehearsed': Anupam Kher celebrates World Theatre Day with throwback pictures

It is World Theatre Day and actors and performers around the globe are celebrating the occasion. Joining the bandwagon was Bollywood actor Anupam Kher who shared a number of throwback pictures on social media which featured glimpses of his theater performances

It is World Theatre Day and actors and performers around the globe are celebrating the occasion. The day which is observed on 27 March, every year was initiated in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute to encourage drama and fine arts. 

To mark the day, Bollywood actor Anupam Kher shared a number of throwback pictures on social media which featured glimpses of his theater performances. While in a couple of pictures he can be seen enacting a play, there were also a number of pictures where he was featured with wife and fellow-actor Kirron Kher. The actor who has served as an alumnus and a former chairperson of the National School of Drama captioned the post saying, "All the world is a stage and most of us are desperately unrehearsed.:) #HappyWorldTheatreDay"

Anupam Kher has become a man of international presence over the years. Not only is he an established actor in the country, but now he has worked in Hollywood movies and television shows, adding more feathers to his cap. The veteran actor recently appeared in political biopic 'The Accidental Prime Minister', based on the life of former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh and was praised widely for acing up the mannerisms of Singh giving a candid feel to his character.

He is also part of an international project titled 'Hotel Mumbai' which is based on the 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai. The film which also features Dev Patel and Armie Hammer, among others, is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 29, 2019, by Bleecker Street and ShivHans Pictures.

Currently, Kher is working in the American drama series 'New Amsterdam'.
