Ranveer Singh has had a blast in 2018 on both the personal and professional front. Two of his films have become blockbusters at the box office and he also tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend and actress Deepika Padukone. He also managed to end the year on a high note with the Rohit Shetty directorial 'Simmba'. The film has been smashing at the box office and if the latest reports are anything to go by, then there is no stopping this film.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film is still flying high and saw a massive jump in collections over the weekend. The Ranveer and Sara Ali Khan starrer raked in Rs 17.49 crore on Sunday, which has bumped up the collections to a whopping Rs 190.64 crore. With these numbers, the film has also created history.

'Simmba' has now become the third highest grosser of 2018. The film brushed past Aamir Khan's 'Thugs of Hindostan' and Salman Khan's 'Race 3', which stopped gathering footfalls after an initial few days. The Rohit Shetty directorial is preceded by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' and Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Sanju'.

What's amazing about it all is that two of these three films stars Ranveer in it. He played the main antagonist Alauddin Khilji in 'Padmaavat' and the kooky cop Sangram Bhalerao in 'Simmba'. With two of his films making the top three list, one can safely say the actor is ruled the roost in the year 2018. Moreover, 2019 is also looking like the year where the actor will dominate. His next film Gully Boy is generating massive hype with just the teaser itself and the movie is all set to come out on February 14, 2019. Overall, there is no stopping Baba, be it on camera or off it.
