While one couldn’t take their eyes off some of the goosebumps-inducing moments from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Union Cabinet of Ministers’ oath-taking ceremony on stage, there were some interesting moments off it too. One such moment was Rajinikanth, Kangana Ranaut, Shahid Kapoor, Karan Johar and others posing for an epic picture. There was another such moment behind-the-scenes as Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor met the chiefs of the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force, General Bipin Ravat and Air Marshal BS Dhanoa. Both the actors were left awed by the interaction and shared their delight about it on Twitter.
Kher wrote that amid the ‘grand’ swearing-in ceremony, one of the highlights for them was to meet the defence forces’ chiefs. The actor singled out their energy and handshake and called it the ‘best security cover any Indian can ask for.’
The ‘A Wednesday’ star wrote, “The swearing-in-ceremony of PM @narendramodi & his cabinet was a grand affair. But one of my & @anilskapoor ‘s highlights was to meet army chief #GenBipinRavat & air chief #AirMarshalBSDhanoa. Their energy & handshake is d best security cover any Indian can ask for.Jai Hind.”
Kapoor called the meeting an ‘honour’ and conveyed his gratitude to the forces, who had helped him during the making of ‘Pukar’, that had fetched him his first National Award for Best Actor and was also adjudged as the Best Feature Film on National Integration in 2000. The actor wrote, “Had the honour of meeting our Army Chief Bipin Rawat & Air Force Chief Birender Singh Dhanoa last night. Took me back to the days we were shooting my favourite film Pukar & how both the forces helped us & played a major part in its national award winning success.”
Karan Johar, Rajinikanth-Latha Rajinikanth, Kangana Ranaut, Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput and directors/producers like Rajkumar Hirani, Aanand L Rai, Abhishek Kapoor, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Siddharth Roy Kapur, were among the other B-Town celebrities seen at the swearing-in ceremony.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Union Cabinet 2.0 were sworn-in by President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in a grand ceremony attended by over 8,000 guests. With a massive line-up of ministers with quite a few familiar faces and many new entrants, a total of 58 ministers were inducted in the Union Cabinet.
