Tanushree Dutta left the Nation in a state of aghast after she revealed what had happened 10 years ago. She accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of alleged misconduct on the sets of the 2008 film 'Horn OK Pleassss' while filming a dance sequence. Since then this has become a burning topic of discussion and while Tanushree came out in the open and even filed a complaint against him, Nana who was busy shooting for 'Housefull 4' did not react to it.
Recently his son, Malhar gave out a statement that Nana Patekar will not be a part of Sajid Khan's 'Housefull 4'. He stated that Nana Patekar thought of everyone's convenience and felt it's appropriate to step aside from the film at this point in time.
The film's director Sajid Khan has also been accused of alleged sexual harassment by three women. In response to the allegations, Sajid Khan took to Twitter on Friday and said, "In the wake of the allegations against me & the pressure being put on my family, my producer n the stars of my film Housefull 4, I must take the moral responsibility of stepping down from my directorial post, till the time I can allay the allegations and prove the truth.. I request my friends in the media to kindly not pass judgment till the truth is out”.
Earlier on October 12, the film's lead actor Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to announce that the shoot of 'Housefull 4' has been cancelled till further investigations.
Backing the movement, choreographer-director Farah Khan, who is the sister of director Sajid Khan commented on the same and said, "This is a heartbreaking time for my family. We have to work through some very difficult issues. If my brother has behaved in this manner he has a lot to atone for. I don’t in any way endorse this behavior and Stand in solidarity with any woman who has been hurt."
The MeToo movement has exposed a lot of predators and the core members of the film industry have started taking strict action against the exploiters.
