Amitabh Bachchan Pens A Note On 18 Years Of Hosting 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is one of those celebrities, who is quite active on social media. From sharing behind the scenes stills from his films to sharing rare throwback pictures of his films and family, the ‘Paa’ actor makes sure that his fans are kept posted about what he's up to next. The ‘Pink’ actor who has a hectic shoot schedule, however, took some time off to pen down his daily activities in the form of a blog. The actor maintains a daily blog on Tumblr. The latest blog, that he posted, on August 28 and 29, is about his journey of 18 years hosting the game show, 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'.

The ‘102 Not Out’ actor started his note by going down the memory lane and mentioning Shah Rukh Khan and other celebrities, who hosted this show in other regions of the country. He also mentioned that how KBC is a medium for all the common people of the nation to become overnight stars. The ‘Piku’ actor further wrote that people might think, hosting this show would be easy for him but this was not the case. He wrote that each episode had its shades of nervousness and worries. Bachchan further expressed his gratitude towards the contestants and all the crew members of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' for making the show popular.

'Kaun Banega Crorepati' is based on a British show, 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?'. The first episode of the show was aired in the year 2000. The was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan from 2000 to 2006. Later, Shah Rukh Khan replaced him in 2007 as the ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ actor was reportedly unwell. However, Amitabh Bachchan returned to the show in 2010. The tenth season of the 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' will be aired from September 3, 2018.
