Amitabh Bachchan To Pay Loans Of 850 Uttar Pradesh Farmers

Amitabh Bachchan, who had recently provided monetary relief to 350 farmers in Maharashtra, has identified 850 farmers from Uttar Pradesh, whose loans amounting to over Rs 5.5 crores will be taken care of by him.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has identified 850 farmers from Uttar Pradesh, whose loans amounting to over Rs 5.5 crores will be taken care of by him. In his blog, that the actor regularly fills in with his daily updates, wrote, "Now a list of over 850 farmers from Uttar Pradesh have been identified and their loans amounting to over 5.5 crore shall be taken care of .. the assistance from the Bank in question assists in its execution and its benevolence ..."

Earlier, the '102 Not Out actor' and his actress-wife Jaya Bachchan had provided monetary relief to farmers and to families of army martyrs at their homes in Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan received a concrete list of farmers and families of army martyrs in Maharashtra by the State Government. The Bachchan couple helped the farmers pay off their debts.

Writing about the same, he wrote, "It has been a most satisfying experience to give some to them our countrymen that sacrificed their lives for us .. 44 families diversified into 112 entities were given out in my small way .. from Maharashtra .. the brave hearts , the SHAHEED .. more needs to be done from other parts of the country too .. it shall be done ..Over 350 farmers loans that were difficult to pay off , and to prevent them from committing suicide, was paid off some days back too .. earlier farmer loans from Andhra and Vidarbha had been done."

Currently, the actor is hosting the reality game show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'. In a special episode titled, 'KBC Karmveer', Ajeet Singh was invited. Singh works towards forced prostitution and the protection of young girls being kidnapped and forced into this dastardly crime. In his blog, Bachchan mentioned that a contribution is being sent to Singh to help in his most "valiant endeavour".

He also said that a contribution will be made towards Sarbani Das Roy, who was also present in the KBC Karmveer episode. Sarbani has taken up the work to look after and protect those that are mentally ill and left to survive and lead a wretched life on the streets. Bachchan wrote,"Along with any kind of used materials that find their way out of the house, which could be of some use to those under her protective care .. I shall be sending packages of my personal wardrobe .. clothes .. that could be of immense use for these afflicted patients."

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is gearing up for the release of 'Thugs of Hindostan'. The film will be releasing on November 8.
