Amitabh Bachchan Welcomes Salman Khan To Host Kaun Banega Crorepati

Popular Indian television game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is back with season 10. The game show will be hosted by Amitabh Bachchan and will premiere on September 3. The show was officially launched on August 28 in Mumbai. During a media interaction at the launch, the actor willingly answered several questions thrown at him. In response to Salman Khan's desire to host KBC, the ‘Zanjeer’ actor said that Salman Khan is more than welcome to host the show. He also said that he would invite him on the show. Both Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have proved themselves as successful hosts on television. Salman Khan hosts reality shows ‘Bigg Boss’ and ‘Dus Ka Dum’. Khan recently concluded the shoot of the reality game show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ season 3. He will next be seen hosting Bigg Boss season 12, which is set to premiere on September 16.

While Bachchan has been the host for eight seasons (season 3 was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan ), when he was quizzed about the role reversal, he said that he would not survive. The actor said that as a contestant he would not be able to answer more than two or three questions.

The first season of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' had aired in the year 2000, marking Amitabh Bachchan's debut on small screen. After two seasons, he took a break from the game show. Shah Rukh Khan then went on to host the third season of the show. However, Amitabh Bachchan's name had already been associated with the show, making him come back for season 4. Since then, Bachchan has been a part of the show.

What's next for Amitabh Bachchan 

On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan is also busy with his film commitments. The actor is simultaneously shooting for Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' and Sujoy Ghosh's 'Badla', both of which are scheduled to release in 2019. In 'Brahmastra', the 'Sholay' actor will be seen alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. Whereas, for 'Badla' he will be working with Taapsee Pannu for the second time after 'PINK'. Talking about the younger generation of actors, the 'Deewar' actor said that he is scared to work with them as they all know what they are doing and are great at what they do.
