Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan's upcoming venture 'Jhund' finally got a release date. The makers of the much-anticipated film revealed it is going to hit the theaters on September 20 this year. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and confirmed the news.
The film marks the Hindi directorial debut of Nagraj Manjule, who is best known for helming Marathi blockbuster 'Sairat'. As per media reports, in the film, Sr Bachchan is essaying the role of Vijay Barse, a Nagpur-based retired sports teacher who founded an NGO called Slum Soccer. The movie is being co-produced by Nagraj, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath and Savita Raj Hiremath.
In the Twitter post, Adarsh wrote, "Release date finalised... #Jhund, starring Amitabh Bachchan and directed by #Sairat director Nagraj Manjule, to release on 20 Sept 2019... Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath, and Nagraj Manjule."

The film reportedly tells the story of a 70 plus-year-old man, who takes an initiative to change the life of the children in a village. He motivates slum children to play soccer and becomes the founder of the village kids team of football.
'Sairat's lead actors Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar will also be starring in the movie. The film reportedly will also feature several fresh faces. The firm is the first collaboration between Big B and the director.
The actor wrapped up shooting for the film back in January. He announced the end of shooting in a heartfelt Instagram post, in which he wrote, ". the completion of JHUND .. and on to BRAHMASTRA .. emotive and withdrawal symptoms with one; anticipation and apprehension for the other ..🌺🌷💕"
