Arjun Kapoor-Rakul Preet Singh to team up for Nikkhil Advani's next

Actress Rakul Preet Singh and Arjun Kapoor have teamed up for the first time for an untitled project. The film will be a comedy-drama produced by Emmy Entertainment, JA Productions and T-Series. The project is set to begin shooting this month. Here are the details.

After collaborating on Batla House, Satyamev Jayate, and its already announced sequel, Bhushan Kumar, Nikkhil Advani and John Abraham are set to collaborate for yet another project. The film will also mark the feature film directorial debut of Kaashvie Nair, who has earlier assisted Nikkhil on his sports-drama, Patiala House and the action-thriller D-Day and also co-directed the TV series POW Bandi Yuddh Ke.

Kaashvie is the daughter of Shashilal K Nair who is known for directing films like the crime-drama Angaar which bagged him the National Film Award for Best Special Effects and for the 2001 film One Two Ka Four starring Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla. Kaashvie and her team have already finished the formalities and the film is in the final stages of preparation.

When asked about the details in an interview, Nikkhil Advani described it as a coming-of-age, cross-border love story, beautifully written by Anuja Chauhan, Amitosh Nagpal, and Kaashvie. The film will be shot extensively in Punjab and Los Angeles and will feature Arjun and Rakul in never-seen-before avatars. He added that they will be locking the title and release date soon. Bhushan Kumar added that the film is scheduled to go on the floors this month and that it sums up people’s everyday experiences and relationships with their families and the audiences will definitely enjoy it.

Arjun Kapoor stated that when the filmmaker and the writers gave him a narration, he instantly knew that it was a special script. He added that he has grown up in a joint family so he understands that it is the biggest pillar of love, strength, and support and that is the essence of the film which has its heart in the right place. He also said that he is having a blast during the preparations. When asked about working with Rakul Preet, the star added that she is a beautiful, instinctive and generous co-star.
