Arjun Kapoor reveals 'Dal Makhni' coincidence with Anil Kapoor's film

Arjun Kapoor during a recent interview revealed that it was 'chachu' Anil Kapoor's film Ram Lakhan that inspired him to become an actor and join Bollywood.

Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor who debuted in the industry with 2012 romantic drama Ishaqzaade has made a place for himself in the industry with films like Gunday, 2 States, Finding Fanny among others. Now, the actor has opened up about what influenced him to join Bollywood. As per media reports, during a recent interview, Arjun Kapoor revealed that it was 'chachu' Anil Kapoor's film Ram Lakhan that motivated him to become an actor.

Talking about the same, Arjun Kapoor said, he has watched Ram Lakhan countless times and shared an interesting anecdote about how it made him want to become an actor. He said one day while watching the film he was eating dal makhani and suddenly when he looked on the screen he saw Lakhan was eating the same from his plate in the movie. The actor says that is when he got bitten by 'Bollywood ka keeda' and realized that he wanted to become an actor. He opened about the same while shooting for an episode of ZEE TV's comedy Bollywood game show Movie Masti With Maniesh Paul.

Ram Lakhan

1989 Indian crime drama Ram Lakhan counts amongst the biggest hits of actor Anil Kapoor. Beside him, the film also has an ensemble cast, including Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Madhuri Dixit, Dimple Kapadia, Raakhee and Anupam Kher. It was produced and directed by Subhash Ghai and minted over Rs. 36 crores at the box office.

What's next for Arjun Kapoor

Meanwhile, on the work front, Arjun Kapoor is gearing up for the release of 'Panipat'. From horse riding to rigorous gym sessions, Arjun Kapoor is training hard for the upcoming venture. Besides, Arjun Kapoor, the film also stars Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt in the lead. His last stint alongside Parineeti Chopra in 'Namastey London' did not fare well at the box office.
