Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, daughter of ace-filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has often been called the 'product of nepotism'. She stepped into the film fraternity with Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year' and despite having an easier access to the industry, the actress made her mark with films such as 'Highway' and 'Raazi'. However, the nepotism tag is not an easy one to shed, and the 25-year-old always finds her name in the centre of the debate.
Recently, during a media interaction, Alia opened up about the subject and stated that nepotism exists in every field, and her thoughts on the matter do not come from a negative place. As per reports, Bhatt stated that she is in love with acting and that she would be devastated if she never got the opportunity.
The 'Kalank' actress further claimed that once an actor comes into the fray, the audience chooses them and so if people are working, it is not because of the luck but because of the hard work that they put into it. Alia also quipped that she cannot just wake up and say sorry for being born into the family, but she can definitely say that she will work as hard as possible to prove that she deserves to be here.
The actress is currently basking the success of 'Gully Boy' and will be seen in the multi-starrer venture 'Kalank' which marks the directorial debut of Abhishek Verman features Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Kunal Khemu, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. The period drama will be set in the 1940s and will be jointly produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Fox Star Studios. It is all set to hit the theatres on April 19, 2019.
