Ayushmann Khurana And Bhumi Pednekar To Pair Up For The Third Time, Sign Comedy Flick 'Bala'

Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar are all set to head the cast of a quirky laugh riot titled 'Bala'. Film critic Taran Adarsh announced the news.

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana has been riding high on the success at the moment with back-to-back successful films. The actor has been roped in for several ventures and adding to the row he has now reportedly signed another film titled 'Bala' opposite Bhumi Pednekar. The lead pair, who has shared screen space in 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' and 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', will now grace the comedy venture. It will be directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the duo who previously came together for Shraddha Kapoor's 'Stree'. 

Film critic Taran Adarsh announced the news on Twitter. Sharing a picture of Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, Taran Adarsh captioned the post saying, "Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar... After #DumLagaKeHaisha and #ShubhMangalSaavdhan, the duo to head the cast of a quirky laugh riot, titled #Bala... Produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Amar Kaushik, the team that delivered the Blockbuster #Stree."

As per media reports, in the film, Ayushmann will play the role of a man who balds maturely and Bhumi will play the role of a dusky small-town girl at odds with the society that is obsessed with fair skin.

Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana also confirmed the news from his end as he re-tweeted the post of a fan page on the same.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ayushmann, who marked his debut in the industry with 2012 film 'Vicky Donor', featured in two films this year- 'AndhaDhun' and 'Badhaai Ho' and both of them turned out to be hits. Recently, the actor announced his upcoming venture 'Dream Girl' and revealed the first look of the film. The film backed by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms also stars 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' actress Nushrat Bharucha in the lead. It is staled for a 2019 release. 

On the other hand, Bhumi will be next featured in 'Sonchiriya' along with Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana. The film narrates an intriguing and gripping tale of dacoits. The flick is directed by 'Udta Punjab' fame Abhishek Chaubey and is slated to release on February 8, 2019.
