The film recently entered the Rs 100 crore club. Yes! As per latest box office reports, Badhaai Ho just crossed the 100 Crore mark at the box office. The movie had released on October 18, 2018, on the occasion of Dussehra and had managed to leave the audience spellbound. This 100 Crore mark has been crossed despite the MP Cinema’s strike. The movie has been doing really well even after weeks and actors Gajraj Rao and Ayushmann Khurrana’s father-son relationship on screen has been appreciated by the audience.

Just in a period of five days, the film had garnered a total of Rs 51.35 crore at the domestic market. Taking to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, trade analyst Taran Adarsh had earlier tweeted “Badhaai Ho stays solid on the working day [Mon]... Crosses Rs 50 cr mark... Expected to cross Rs 65 cr in Week 1, an incredible feat... Thu 7.35 cr, Fri 11.85 cr, Sat 12.80 cr, Sun 13.70 cr, Mon 5.65 cr. Total: Rs 51.35 cr . India biz.”

The makers describe the movie as a coming-of-age family entertainer that celebrates love, family and everything in between. The film was initially supposed to release on October 19th but had to be proponed, to take advantage of a public holiday.

The comedy-drama is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and is jointly produced by Vineet Jain, Hemant Bhandari and Aleya Sen under the banner of Junglee Pictures and Chrome Pictures. Through the trailer, one understands that the concept is different and is not something that has been touched upon before. In India ‘Log Kya Kahenge’ is a major crisis and this movie seems to be focussing on that.
