The shooting of Salman Khan’s next film and one of the most anticipated movies of next year, ‘Bharat’ has been proceeding at full throttle, but a roadblock was reportedly said to have hit the schedule. According to reports, farmers in Jodha village near Ludhiana were ‘upset’ with the cast and crew for recreating the Wagah Border in their fields as they themselves couldn’t access them because of the shoot. The makers had reportedly acquired 19 acres of the farms at Rs 80,000 per acre for the erection of the sets.
However, the makers of the period action drama have refuted the reports. The director of the movie, Ali Abbas Zafar, has clarified that such an incidence never occurred and called them ‘rumours’. He added that the shoot has been going on ‘peacefully’ and that the people of Ludhiana are happy to welcome the stars and have been extremely supportive throughout their schedule. Nikhil Namit, who is one of the producers of the Salman starrer, also stressed that the ‘fictitious rumours’ surrounding the movie should not be trusted.
A picture of Salman and Katrina from the makeshift Wagah border had gone viral. We see the former dressed in a suit and the ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ star in a saree with a shawl over it.
Previously, several other pictures and videos from the sets have also been a part of the headlines. One of them involved Salman and Katrina, dressed in traditional attires, in a romantic moment. One of the producers, Atul Agnihotri had also recently shared a video of the duo walking to the sets from back view.
'Bharat' is the third collaboration between Salman and Ali Abbas Zafar after 'Sultan' and 'Tiger Zinda Hai.' The movie hits the theatres during Eid next year.
