"Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2", starring Kartik Aaryan, is slated to be released on July 31 next year. "Bhool Bhulaiyaa", which released in 2007, starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja. The film was the official Hindi remake of the 1993 Malayalam comedy psychological thriller, "Manichitrathazhu", that gained rave reviews from the audience. The makers of the sequel recently shared the motion poster of the film and to everyone's surprise not only do the stills have an uncanny resemblance to the original posters, but the music is also similar to Akshay Kumar's aboriginal.

Meanwhile, while fans were waiting with bated breath for the announcement of the sequel, they seem to be a little disappointed over the fact that Kartik Aaryan was chosen as the lead. There were many who thought that it was a case of 'misfit casting', while others felt that he would not be able to do justice to the film. Read some reactions below:

Earlier in July, news surfaced claiming Kartik Aaryan has been roped for 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' which is a sequel of 2007 horror-comedy film 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Shiny Ahuja in the lead. Although there was no official announcement on the same, media reports stated that the makers have locked the idea, and we're working on the script. It further stated that Kartik has already nodded yes to the project and is in the process of finalizing the rest of the crew. Bhushan Kumar's T-Series will reportedly back the project and he expects to start filming by the end of the year.
