Bollywood has been high on multi-starrers of late, from recent releases like ‘Total Dhamaal’, this year’s ‘Kalank’,‘Mission Mangal’, ‘Housefull 4’, to Karan Johar’s 'Takht' and the trend continues with ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’. After the announcement of Ajay Devgn as the lead of the movie, the other members of the cast have been revealed too. Sanjay Dutt, Parineeti Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Rana Daggubati and Ammy Virk complete the lead cast of the movie which will trace the story of how Indian Air Force Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik and his team of 300 women reconstructed a wrecked IAF airstrip during the India-Pakistan war of 1971.
The makers on Wednesday announced the names of the remaining members of the cast with T-Series' Bhushan Kumar calling it a ‘stellar cast’.
Parineeti described it as a ‘special story’ and shared a picture of the six along with the characters they are playing.
The actress plays femme-fatale stunner of Heena Rehman, an Indian spy operating from Lahore. Sanjay will play the role of Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari ‘Pagi’, a civilian who played a major role in the Indian Army’s victory. Sonakshi will be Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, a social worker.
‘Baahubali’ star Rana Daggubati will play the role of a Madras Regiment Lt. Colonel while Punjabi star Ammy Virk will essay the character of a fighter pilot.
‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ has been written by Abhishek Dudhaiya and will also be directed by him.
