Bhumi Pednekar promotes Climate Warrior campaign on social media

Climate change is a growing concern for people and governments across the world. The speech by Greta Thunberg at the UN Climate Action Summit in September has now given new life to the conversation about climate change. Common people, as well as celebrities, have now started to speak out against the lax regulations against climate change. Recently, popular Bollywood actor Bhumi Pednekar has also begun her campaign that aims to spread awareness about the dangers of climate change.

Actor Bhumi Pednekar has now started a nationwide campaign that aims to combat and spread awareness about climate change. Her campaign is titled Climate Warrior and she first started publicising it on her official social media pages back in September. Here is the announcement that she made about the initiation of the Climate Warrior campaign. 

It’s a platform through which I hope to keep reminding people that climate change is real and comes with some serious repercussions. Through this initiative, I’m going to work towards bringing positive social change that’s the need of the hour. (2/4)

Her most recent posts on social media have also included promotions for the Climate Warrior campaign. On November 2, 2019, she shared a video of the peaceful protests that took place on September 27, 2019. Activists rallied to spread awareness about the danger that climate change possesses to the planet and all of humanity.

Recently the acclaimed and popular Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio also posted on climate change on his official social media pages. Bhumi reposted Leonardo's original post to further the message across to her fans today on November 6, 2019. According to the post shared by Leonardo, more than 11,000 scientists have declared a climate emergency worldwide.
