Aditya Roy Kapur debuted into the film industry with Vipul Shah’s London Dreams. However, he rose to popularity with his role in films like Aashiqui 2 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. He was last seen in Abhishek Varman’s period drama Kalank.
Aditya Roy Kapur had graced the cover of a leading magazine in May. He opened up about a lot of issues during the interview. While talking about the two-year break that he had taken between OK Jaanu and Kalank, he said that the sabbatical was not a conscious decision. However, it worked out well for him.
Aditya Roy Kapur was recently seen in Abhishek Varman’s Kalank which earned mixed reactions. While talking about why he took up the film, Aditya said that he felt that the director had already foreseen the future of the characters in the film. He said that the film offered him so much more than the usual and that was the reason why he took up the project.
While talking about the attention that he receives from women, Aditya Roy Kapur said that it is all a part and parcel of being an actor. He also said that along with all the adulation, people also need to understand territories. He stated that it is a good thing that people are appreciative.
Aditya Roy Kapur had avoided social media for the longest time until earlier this year. He had then jokingly called himself a “technologically-challenged guy”. Opening up on the major reason for him joining the bandwagon, Aditya said he thought that his fans could not connect with him and hence he wanted to open a part of his life for them.
On being asked about his relationship status, Aditya Roy Kapur revealed that he is currently single and has not planned anything for himself. He said that love is something that happens over time. He said that when meeting someone and then connecting with them eventually, is the best thing.
Aditya Roy Kapur will be next seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, and Gulshan Grover in pivotal roles. The film is a sequel to the 1991 romantic hit film, Sadak. It is expected to release in the first half of 2020. Further, Aditya will be be seen in Anurag Basu's next and Mohit Suri’s next, titled Malang.
