Bollywood Has Found Its New Bookworm And 'Potterhead' And He Has A 'Brahmastra' Connection

Director Ayan Mukerji who debuted in Instagram to keep fans updated with the developments of 'Bhahmastra' in a recent post revealed what inspired him to make the fantasy-adventure film.

From a grand launch in Kumbh Mela 2019 to the final logo launch in social media, the much-anticipated Bollywood venture 'Brahmastra' made an extravagant start and now is making it up to the news daily. Director Ayan Mukerji has also debuted in Instagram to keep fans updated with the developments of the project and in a recent post, the filmmaker revealed what inspired him to make a fantasy-adventure film like 'Bhahmastra'.

The actor, who appears to be a huge bookworm, shared a picture of his bookshelf containing several fantasy-adventure book series including the 'Game of Thrones' and JK Rowling's 'Fantastic Beasts'. The shelve also had a cute bubblehead of Harry Potter which completed the 'magical' look of the place.

'Brahmastra' is said to be a romantic-fairytale in a supernatural format. The sci-fi drama starring  Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mouni Roy is one of the most-anticipated films of the year and fans are eagerly waiting for its release.

Ayan Mukerji and team who started shooting for the film a year ago celebrated the film's birthday on Thursday, March 14. He shared a painting of a girl standing below a meteor shower and captioned it saying, "happy birthday 🎈 #brahmastra"

Previously, he had also shared several behind the scene pictures of Ranbir and Alia from the sets of the film elevating the expectations of the audience.

Backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the film is all set to hit the theatres on December 20, 2019.
