Bollywood: All you need to know about various sequels released in 2019

Bollywood offers a variety of movies to choose from. Some of these movies have become so popular that several sequels have been made. These sequels are also very well-received by the audience, which helps to create more revenue and also carry on the legacy of the movies. Some of these movies date back 20 years ago and their sequels are now in production. A lot of actors who had acted in the previous movies are reprising their roles for the sequels. One of these movies includes Sadak 2. The original movie Sadak was released in 1991 and the sequel will be released in 2020, which is almost a solid thirty-year gap. Here's a list of some of these movies and their sequels which released in 2019-2020.

Student of the Year 2

This the sequel to the original film Student of the Year which was a big hit at the box office. The original film starred Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Siddharth Malhotra. The story revolves around the lives of three college students and their love affairs. The sequel stars Tiger Shroff, Ananya Pandey, and Tara Sutaria.

Housefull 4

The Housefull series is one of the most popular comedy-dramas of Bollywood. There are currently four instalments of the film, the fourth one being released in 2019. Housefull stars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh in lead roles. 

Dabangg 3

The Dabangg series is among the most popular movies of Salman Khan. Salman Khan will reprise his role as Chulbul Pandey in the upcoming Dabangg 3 which is scheduled to release in December 2019. The movie’s trailer has been released and has created massive hype among the audience.

Commando 3

The Commando series starring Vidyut Jamwal is known for its action-packed scenes. Vidyut Jamwal stars in the lead role. The third instalment of the franchise is set to release in November 2019.

What's in for 2020?

In 2020, there are several upcoming sequels like Sadak 2, which stars Aditya Roy Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt will also reprise their roles after almost thirty years. There have also been rumours about a Kick sequel. Imtiaz Ali’s Aaj Kal will also be released in 2020 which is the sequel to Love Aaj Kal. It will feature Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles.
